A very special Quote by Winston Churchill for those upset or Feeling Negative During the Crisis Hours
He famously said, “ Never let a good crisis go to waste”.
All across the globe, we have had to deal with the Pandemic, that has affected close to 10 million people, of which almost half a million casualties have been observed. And we sat back in horror.trembling at the tough times ahead.
Yet, another scary scenario was slowly making its way into the world economies, as the demand of goods and services fell, the companies were forced to downsize to their bare minimum sizes. As per the recent survey by Business Insider, over 136 million jobs are on the line.
But what’s the silver lining in these dark times?
This Crisis has taught us so many things : new technologies, work from home or virtual meetings with the stakeholders and the employees in a virtual platform !
Let us try to speculate some of the niche sectors that might do well :
- Service Sector: Even though there have been multiple job cuts, those employees that have been able to upskill themselves, to provide revenue generation via multitasking have been able to stay away from the “pink slip”. As businesses start to slim down, the core team members have to take up the baton to take the extra step to ensure revenue generation.
- Yet another Tech Boom?: Technology will play an ever-increasing role in today’s connected environment. As corporate houses slowly adapt to working from home, a host of new technology platforms are expected to do very well. As the market valuation goes, a certain video communication platform that’s making the rounds these days, in everyone’s phones – is currently valued more than the top 7 global air fleets combined.
- Healthcare: Health is wealth. As new strains of the deadly microorganisms threaten the existence of human civilization in its entirety, research and development into the healthcare sector would take priority. Genetic testing and Genetic engineering (and reverse engineering) would be the next barrier in the healthcare sector.
- E-learning: How many times have parents complained about their child spending too much time on the phone and not enough about school work? Well, in 2020, the school work is done via the ever hated mobile phones. As institutions have barred their gates, E-learning is the next BIG thing. We already have some of our Indian brands venture into E-learning, and this trend is here to stay.
